About The Course
Those who have internalized the basic grammatical aspects of Sanskrit may still find it challenging to read Sanskrit technical literature or Shāstras due to the precise and concise nature of the language used in these texts. While an in-depth understanding of the concepts discussed in various Shāstras is essential for comprehending technical literature—something that cannot be achieved within a two-credit course—gaining a broader understanding of how meanings are derived, how concepts are discussed, and how arguments are presented and countered serves as a crucial first step. Therefore, this course is designed to equip students with the foundational skills needed to explore the vast and intricate world of Sanskrit technical literature.
