This course focuses on the scientific aspect of the language i.e., precisely the Vyākaraṇa of the language.   • ● Gain understanding of Aṣṭādhyāyī of Pāṇini i.e., the fundamentals of Vyākaraṇa Śāstra
  • ● Imbibe the attitude of a ‘Vaiyākaraṇa’ or Grammarian in the approach to study the language
  • Intended Outcomes
  • At the end of the course the student will get to know about
  • ● Basic understanding of linguistics approach to the language
  • ● Creating and understanding syntax, morphology of given words (i.e., the scientific approach to move up to pragmatic meaning)
  • ● Ability to find and understand the etymology and precise meaning of the given word
  • ● Understanding the fundamentals of Aṣṭādhyāyī of Pāṇini
  • ● Knowing the concept of aphorism and aphoristic function
  • ● Ability to extract meaning of aphorisms of Aṣṭādhyāyī by looking at declension used in aphorism.
