
About The Course
This curriculum provides a detailed overview of governance model and ethical management concepts as practiced in ancient Tamil Nadu. This covers what were the models used by the society in earlier times, starting from Sangam period through the medieval period for governance. It details out the hierarchical system, the bureaucracy, local level administration etc. The course will also cover the management concepts used across various levels. This will include the foundational principles of management, how Dharma played a role right from hiring, leadership, managing resources etc. The details of the above is drawn from ancient Tamil literature and Inscriptions (both Stone and Copper Plate) of various kings who ruled Tamil Nadu
